ABOUT THIS ACCOUNT

This account is for posting translations of content about Korean figure skaters, including Junhwan Cha because @chajunhwansubs has recently closed the account.ADMIN'S NOTE: My priorities are readability and conveying the core meaning of the original. I avoid translating Korean literally because it is very different from English. Just a note, in case you use Papago at some point and notice I have rephrased an entire sentence or deleted some information (redundancies). The method I use is the same I use for my job (not KOR > EN): I use a machine translator (Papago) and then proofread that translation until I'm satisfied. This is normal in professional translation, as it speeds up the process and doesn't necessarily lead to more mistakes. Still, I am often very tired because my schedule is extremely packed, so I may miss some mistakes or forget to check certain things, particularly details like dates, names of places, etc. Please, tell me if you spot any, I'll be grateful! My main motivation for starting this account is to force myself to improve my Korean and provide information at the same time. It is not getting "clout", so I will never modify titles or translations with the purpose of getting engagement. Only to aid comprehension.I always use the original title unless it's too long or it isn't informative at all for whatever reason. In those cases, I use a description of the most important information as the title. Also, when the text has to do with touchy subjects, I always try to ask a native for help to make sure the translation is accurate. This was a bit lengthy, but I really wanted to clarify these points. Please, let me know if you see I have mistranslated the meaning of the original or if there are any mistakes in my English! I appreciate ALL constructive criticism so everyone can enjoy high quality translations. This account's activity will depend on my circumstances. I'm generally very busy (full-time job + college + etc.), so I can't be as fast as others. Still, I'll try to be as fast as I can and be up to date with the new content.NOTE: My first YouTube channel was deleted for copyright infringement on November 7th 2022, so unfortunately all the content is gone. I'm trying to gradually upload everything to the second channel, Dailymotion or Notion, depending on the content.

The team:
- Admin/main translator/proofreader: me (there will always be a note when I'm not the translator)
- Design: Andrea
- Helpers, whether native or not: Yunji, bbabbi, lemon, Fatima (chajunhwansubs team), Sophia, Han, etc. I always credit.
Many times, I've received some help from a native for some words or sentences. The help of native speakers is always appreciated, even if it's just a little.

Receiving requests is very helpful! There have been many interviews over the years that are buried with articles about competition results. If you know of any that I should translate, please send the link!(I put these in a queue and it might take me a very long time to get to them, as I always need to priorize the translations about recent events).모든 선수들에 대한 기사가 정말 많기 때문에 찾기가 조금 힘들어요. 제가 번역해야 할 기사가 있으면 저에게 URL을 보내주세요 (curiouscat을 통해 익명으로도 가능해요)! 도와주셔서 감사합니다!
